Track what you trade.
It never fails. You lend someone a book, or baby swing, or fishing pole. It's the perfect arrangement. They can use it when you don't need it. But then time passes. You forget what you loaned. Was it a fishing pole or an inflatable raft? Did you give it to John from the gym or Dave at work? And what was his number anyway?
Swap Co-op solves that problem. We've created a better way to trade, lend, lease, and sell stuff between friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and other groups in your community.
You list your stuff, your friends list theirs. Then, when you need that book for class, or paint sprayer for the house, or new video game, you can find it, check it out, and set a return date. It's easy to use, even fun.
So save money. Connect with people you know.
Reduce your environmental impact.
When you borrow or lend, think Swap Co-Op.
Meet my stuff
Take a look around your house and find things you are willing to loan out. Perhaps you have movies, books, tools or games that you only use on an infrequent basis that you could loan out to your "buddies." Then add stuff to your list. Adding your items to your list is as easy as a few keyboard strokes and a couple mouse clicks. Mark it available for sale, lease, loan or trade. Include a description and picture for your item if you wish.
Hello your stuff
Here, you can see what your buddies have listed. Take a look around. Sort by availability, item type, or buddy name. Find stuff you want. Then check it out.
Never miss new stuff
Take note of the feed that runs on the right of each page. Nice stuff.
Take what you need
See those little icons to the right of what's listed? The hand means, "I want that." Click here to initiate a deal. The checkmark means, "eligibility." See if the item you want is available for trade, lease or sale.
This is the quick, easy way to swap. When you want something, all the contact info you need is at hand. Since you're trading with people you know and see regularly, you can arrange how and when to pick stuff up.
The stuff tracker
Here, you can track what you've swapped (ie borrowed, loaned and/or traded) and sold, and when stuff is due back.
If something is past due or coming close, easily send a return date reminder.
If something is marked wrong, quickly correct it using the little grey icons. The arrow means, "I have already returned this." The question mark means, "I never received this."
The share pool
Build buddy networks for different things. You can make an item visiable to all your buddies, or you can make it visible to only certain buddies, via the group functionality. For example, perhaps you only want your neighbors to know about your wheelbarrow, so you list it in your neighborhood group. You can have a neighborhood group, and a group for work, and one for college or school. Just think of the different people you know with stuff you need. Then invite them to join Swap Co-op.

If you want to loan an item to someone who's not on Swap Co-op, just select the envelope icon. This means, "share." Fill out their name and email, select the item, even include a personal message, asking them to join your network. The more buddies in your network the more "stuff" that is available to you.
Choose your swap level
There are two ways to enjoy Swap Co-op. One is free, the other offers unlimited access.
Take the free route, and you can list 10 items at a time.

Become an unlimited member, and you can list as many items as you want, create groups, and print labels for your items. At only $15.00 a year, it's just $1.25 a month. Think about it. Say you want to play that new board game at your next get-together, the one that retails for at least $25.00, but you can borrow it from a buddy for the weekend for free. Borrow your buddy's ice cream maker or Karaoke machine. Borrow a half dozen movies and a couple books over the course of a year, and you will have more than paid for your annual membership. The more stuff you list, the better your payback and share karma.
Stop shopping and storing away. Start swapping.
